it is. and his entire role this season has been as a damon fluffer. that alone has killed his entire character and all the things he could have been. but that line didn’t bother me just because of the superficial, shallow, misogynistic reason. it bothered me because it was ooc as hell too. and not just cause he wouldn’t have said it any other time. i feel like if we’re going to discuss how anti delena alaric seemed based on some comments, then we’ll need to talk about how he seemed uncomfortable with stefan too. remember the whole ripper stefan storyline? i just think it’s fucked up because of how alaric seemed towards the whole vampire thing in general. and you have to remember that he was still around and watching this whole sire bond thing unravel. you mean to tell me alaric wasn’t thoroughly disgusted by that? he was completely okay with that? he shouldn’t be. not any version of alaric that had ever been presented before he died. that’s what pisses me off. it’s like the writers know that none of her friends or family would ever be okay with her being with damon so they have to retcon and make people grossly ooc to make it happen.

this is the whole meaning of faith, babe. sometimes he doesn’t answer in the most obvious ways but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t answer at all. he’ll give you what you need more than what you want. or think of it this way: he’ll give you a light to use while in the dark, it’s up to you with what you do with it. but they key word here is faith =)

he does we are just not willing to look for the ways he did. i mean how many times did we warn people that delena was a horrible ship? even before sire bond? and what happened? sire bond. and then what else happened? elena called out damon every way she could about how horrible he is and then chose to love him anyway. who loves them now? people who don’t give a shit about elena gilbert and only about damon’s happiness. see? prayer works. it helped shed some light.

i don’t like alaric anymore. season 4 ruined that. so i’m inclined to agree with you.

i have had this particular fear since season 2. this was also another thing that turned me off delena actually, aside from how gross it is that elena would even ever seriously go there, i really did not want jeremy to have to be shat on and retconned beyond belief in terms of damon. jeremy can and should not be approving of this relationshit. he is not the one in it, he can do this out of concern for elena. it is okay. 

except what example is she setting by doing this? the same person who looked down on his relationship with anna? it’s the same fucking thing.
